Adriya Sports was born from the urgent need to provide affordable, high‑quality sports infrastructure to schools.

The journey began in 1994 when the principal of an underprivileged primary school asked young teacher Vyash Ramluggan to build a synthetic cricket pitch and practice net. Though inexperienced, Vyash accepted the challenge, bought basic tools, took welding and building lessons, and delivered a facility that impressed the Natal Cricket Union’s president, Mr SK Reddy. He encouraged Vyash to replicate such projects at disadvantaged schools and municipal grounds, sparking a full‑time commitment.

Vyash left teaching to retrain in civil and building work and established Adriya Sports & Fencing with his brother Sunir Ramluggan, who left teaching to join two years later.

 

Adriya Sports grew from cricket facilities into tennis courts, Five‑A‑Side soccer pitches, combination courts, and more recently, Padel courts.

In 2002, the company introduced Adriya Colour Armour, a durable, all‑weather sports surface that continues to add comfort and vibrant colour to courts nationwide.

 

By early 2026, Sunir Ramluggan branched off to pursue his own venture in the fencing industry.

Today, Adriya Sports has a national footprint, a team of over 60 skilled staff, and a reputation built over three decades supported by exceptional suppliers and hundreds of satisfied customers.
